Anima/Animus is a Jungian theme I often explore in my videos. I have used variations of Anima/Animus-inspired imagery many times, as referenced in the above image. The image represents an invitation to a meeting ground of imaginal expression, and is a motif that I’ve returned to in numerous works. This is significant because the questions “where does this image come from?,” “how did I get there?,” and “why do the images relate to one another?” are consistent inquiries—and indeed themes—underlying many apsects of my work. The Anima/Animus archetype draws us deeper into the mysteries of our inner world, inspiring us to build bridges into the unconscious. Editing video is akin to bridge building; reading video is our way of following the path.
