HOW WHAT IS ABSENT RELATES TO THAT WHICH IS BROUGHT TOGETHER

The intermittent and chaotic reunite in a temporary compositional thrust.  A fragment displaced in a universe for which its material was not made.  Its material deactivated and reactivated elsewhere as a fragment of its origin.  An original that can never be fully erased.  It retains its strangeness in a strange new world.  A Tower of Babel changed into vectors and gateways.  Frumious portmanteau. The endless chain and the play of links are formed by breaking the continuity.  Double reading double reading.  Project project.    The projection starts with a secret inner reality.  These materials are employed as things with dual functions.  Material deactivated and reactivated elsewhere as a catastrophe in permanence.  As antidotes to myth they can be found in this symbolic exchange.  Open the window and breathe the fruit from yesterday’s light.  Do this to breathe the profound contrast and to break the links of continuity.  Project project.  The world is no longer permanent.  And yet it retains its strangeness in its strange new world.  Confiscate an image from the light of the past so that it is recognized in the present.  Confiscate and interpret, but do not restore.  Add to replace.  It’s a strategy of accumulation, with no limit of magnitude.  Structure sequence.  Splice the slice. Double reading double reading.  Project project.  Eschewing the translations by building the model.  Walk irreverent upon the dead.  Irreverently undercutting the basis for their reference and suppressing the alterity.  Break the continuity with a transfer of contrasting materials. A profound contrast that forms a new secret inner reality.  The projection will start, reuniting in a temporary composition.  Truth can be found in the process.  The search is the answer.  Providing a symbolic exchange through an open window, projecting the past with the fruit of its light.  Breathe in a slice and retain its strangeness.  The material deactivated and reactivated elsewhere.  Reappearing as objects referring to objects with the objects to which we refer.  Fragments of fragments, spliced and sliced.  Pasting and sticking and gluing, confiscate and add.  But do not restore. Fix it forever in a dialectical ruin.  Formulate our distance from the history that produced it. Signify the distance, and scar the sacred tablet wax.  Form is meaning.  Frumious portmanteau.  Out of two images you will frame a third.  Out of three images you will frame a vector, and not a fourth.  One that is proportional to its limitless magnitude.  A vector of profound contrast, that adds to replace with its secret inner reality. Project project.  Double reading double reading.  It’s a strategy of accumulation.  The accumulation of fragments will become a study.  And the study will form a fragment.  The fragment sets a new study in motion.  The motion in relation to its frame of reference and everything it displaces to replace, confiscate and add.   Truth can be found in the process.  The answer is a fragment of the search for form.  Open the window and breathe the fruit of light. An antidote to myth can be found in this symbolic exchange.  There is no organic mediation in that with this.  There is no predictability in this with that.  A vector of disordered material sends up its knowledge.  Look on this fragment then on that.  Before and after.  Looking is an activity.  A truth.  A signifying vernacular.  An intermittent glance.  Combine it with the objects to which we refer.  Double reading double reading.  Try again try again to find what again?  What was absent about that which is brought together.

Language Begins

A fundamental characteristic of motion picture language, one that is germane to all photographic arts, is that it refers to objects by using the objects to which it refers.

Permanent

If you are contemplating permanent and need a word to express it, “stop” would be the utterance par excellence. Permanent is a stop: the stopping of change.
